"Earthing" Healing with our Mother Earth

Updated: Nov 6

Earthing, also known as grounding, connects us with the natural energy of the Earth. Have you ever noticed how different you feel after being outside in nature walking in the park or on a forest trail, swimming, walking barefoot on the beach or other outdoor activities? Maybe you felt your breath come more easily and you felt more expansive, happier, and more alive. That feeling you experienced is the electrical energy connection between you and the Earth. It is the connection to our Source that we need to maintain to stay vitalized and healthy in all ways – mentally, physically, and spiritually.

Unfortunately, our connection to Earth is easily eroded because of the way we live. We live in constructed shelters of man-made materials. We study or work in buildings for hours without exposure to natural light. Our bodies do not often touch the natural elements of our world that teems with pulsating energy frequencies.

Many people are not aware (or have forgotten) of the benefits of earthing, or just don’t take the time. In all honesty, some of the benefits of earthing become evident as we consider exactly what we are doing when we reconnect to nature. For instance, we experience improved blood flow. Our stress levels decrease and inflammation in the body is reduced. We also work our joints to maintain mobility by being outside, not to mention experiencing more good feelings and better sleep. All of these benefits and so much more are available to us just by getting back to earthing (or grounding) ourselves back to our Source.

So, take off your shoes and walk barefoot on the beach or on the grass. Breathe with intention. Look and absorb the photon energy with your eyes. Feel the warmth of the sun and the beauty of the Earth. Our conscious co-existence with our Mother Earth easily induces feelings of gratitude and joy within us, which are some of the most elevated states of mind one can hold.

With Loving Light,
